Please carefully read through the information below. By following these instructions you will help speed up the production of your job and avoid any additional costs associated with fixing your files. Files submitted that are not set up in accordance to our guidelines may experience delays and additional charges. Supported Applications For Both PC and MAC MAC Applications PC Applications Adobe Illustrator CS 2 or prior dobe Illustrator CS 2 or prior Adobe InDesign CS 2 or prior Adobe InDesign CS 2 or prior Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 - 7 Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 - 7 Adobe Photoshop CS 2 or prior Adobe Photoshop CS 2 or prior Quark Xpress 6 or prior Quark Xpress 6 or prior   General Guidelines - Working With Fonts Whenever possible convert your fonts to outlines/paths. If you are unable to convert your fonts to outlines/paths then you must supply ALL fonts used in your files. Do not assume we have the fonts. Use postscript fonts whenever possible. We do not recommend using True type fonts as they can cause output problems with postscript printers. Do not stylize fonts. If you need a bold or italic font then choose that version of the font. Working with Scans & Graphics All scans should be scanned at 300 dpi (or greater). Black and white bitmaps should be scanned at 1200dpi. Save images as TIFF or EPS. Due to poor print reproduction we do not accept JPEG or GIF images. Color files MUST be in CMYK process color. Do not use RGB, Pantone or any other color systems. Colors can shift quite dramatically when converted to CMYK. En Masse media is not responsible for unexpected color shifts if conversion to CMYK is required. Whenever possible place scanned images in files at 100% sizing. Working with Bleeds If your document bleeds then add a 1/8" to all sides of your document. For example, a 4"x6" postcard should be sized as 4-1/4" x 6-1/4" (4.25" x 6.25") to account for bleed on all four sides. Make sure you keep your "information area" 1/8" (.125") in from the trim size. Maintaining Color Accuracy We hate to keep beating this drum but all our cards are printed in process color CMYK. Do not use RGB, Pantone or any other color systems. Colors can shift quite dramatically when converted to CMYK. Whenever possible design your cards in CMYK mode. This will help to avoid this common pitfall.
